U4GM - All 12 Sacred Tears Locations in Elden Ring (Full Guide)

Sacred Tears are essential Elden Ring Items that enhance the healing and mana restoration capabilities of your flasks. Upgrading your Flask of Crimson Tears and Flask of Cerulean Tears ensures that each use restores more HP or FP, which can be the difference between victory and defeat in tough battles. In this full Elden Ring items guide, we will cover where to find all 12 Sacred Tears across the Lands Between to help you upgrade your flasks as early and efficiently as possible.

What Are Sacred Tears?

Sacred Tears are powerful consumables that increase the amount of HP or FP restored per flask use. Unlike Golden Seeds, which add more flask charges, Sacred Tears enhance the effectiveness of your existing flasks. They are always located inside churches and are usually easy to spot, lying on the ground in front of statues or altars.

Finding and upgrading with Sacred Tears is a crucial step in any complete Elden Ring Items collection strategy.

All 12 Sacred Tears Locations

  1. Third Church of Marika (Limgrave)Found early in East Limgrave. Travel north from the Mistwood Ruins and follow the road east until you reach the church.

  2. Church of Pilgrimage (Weeping Peninsula)Head south from Limgrave across the Bridge of Sacrifice into the Weeping Peninsula. The church is located on a cliff at the northwestern side.

  3. Fourth Church of Marika (Weeping Peninsula)Located in the western part of the Weeping Peninsula. It’s near the Callu Baptismal Church and easy to reach once you explore the western paths.

  4. Callu Baptismal Church (Weeping Peninsula)Although smaller than other churches, this church houses a Sacred Tear and is heavily guarded by fire-based enemies. Prepare accordingly.

  5. Church of Irith (Liurnia of the Lakes)After defeating Godrick the Grafted, exit Stormveil Castle and head into Liurnia of the Lakes. The Church of Irith is immediately nearby.

  6. Bellum Church (Liurnia of the Lakes)Found north of Raya Lucaria Academy, near the Grand Lift of Dectus. The Bellum Highway will lead you straight to it.

  7. Church of Inhibition (Liurnia of the Lakes)Situated in the Frenzied Flame area, this church is located on a hill above the madness-ridden village. Expect tough resistance.

  8. Second Church of Marika (Altus Plateau)In Altus Plateau, west of the Altus Highway Junction Site of Grace, lies this church. It's tied to some character questlines as well.

  9. Stormcaller Church (Altus Plateau)Found northeast of the Altus Highway Junction, on a cliffside. Beware of strong enemies patrolling the nearby roads.

  10. First Church of Marika (Mountaintops of the Giants)Located in the snowy Mountaintops of the Giants, accessible after progressing through Leyndell, Royal Capital.

  11. Church of Repose (Mountaintops of the Giants)Situated in the southern part of the Mountaintops, this area is hostile and features strong foes, including an invader.

  12. Church of the Plague (Caelid)This eerie church, tied to Millicent’s questline, is located in eastern Caelid, near the plague-blighted Swamp of Aeonia.

Tips for Collecting Sacred Tears

  • Focus on visiting churches as soon as you discover a new region. Most Sacred Tears are relatively easy to access compared to other Elden Ring Items.

  • Be prepared for ambushes or invaders, especially in the Mountaintops of the Giants and Caelid.

  • After collecting a Sacred Tear, rest at a Site of Grace and choose “Flask” to apply the upgrade immediately.

Why Sacred Tears Matter

In any Elden Ring items guide, Sacred Tears are highly recommended upgrades. They allow you to heal more with fewer flask uses, freeing you to fight longer without retreating to Sites of Grace. Having fully upgraded flasks by mid-game will make a tremendous difference during boss fights and tough exploration zones.

Collecting all 12 Sacred Tears should be a priority for any player who wants to optimize their Elden Ring Items setup and ensure success in the later stages of the game.
