MLB The Show 25 stubs are on the minds of players as they dive into the latest updates in MLB The Show. A brand new multiplayer program edition has been released, featuring a cool new card. Missions include earning 10 home runs, 5 saves, and 3500 PXP, marking another double PXP week. While frequent double PXP might diminish its special feel, it's great for quick progress.
The new card is Azie Albies, an 89 overall switch-hitting second baseman. Albies has maxed-out contact against lefties and solid power numbers, making him a valuable addition. He's got 91 clutch and decent stats, though his fielding isn't amazing. Despite the game's quirk system lacking, Albies is a cool card to acquire at 100 points in the multiplayer program.
The Moonshot event is also live, with a twist: only legend batters or common batters are allowed, and pitchers are restricted to common pitchers plus Satchel Paige. This event takes place at Coors Field, but events lack exclusive rewards, unlike other game modes like Battle Royale and Ranked Seasons. This absence of rewards raises questions about the future of events in the game.
Free packs are available, earned from community challenges during the Negro League players event and the Easter egg hunt. These packs contain items like socks, diamond sponsorships, and a deluxe Easter pack, which may include player cards like Sean Doolittle. Tier two packs offer additional show packs and equipment items.
Brandon Lowe is another new diamond second baseman with positional versatility. He has a great swing and quirks like pinch hitter and situational hitter. Lowe's power against righties is good, making him a potential asset for the new collection.
